Cousin Fergus is ecstatic.

Why is this fellow dancing a joyous jig even though his cousin has passed on? Perhaps it’s because he helped Crowley Webb receive a silver in the 2010 National ADDY® Awards.
Let’s back up. Well more than a year ago, we created posters for the Irish Classical Theatre Company’s annual fundraiser The Wake. The 2009 series featured original illustrations by our very own Pete Reiling. Each was of a “mourner” celebrating the life (and death) of the fictitious Aidan Doogood, letting potential partygoers know what a boisterous time the event would be.
Fast-forward to earlier this month when we were told the illustration of Cousin Fergus landed a silver at one of the most prestigious advertising award competitions in the nation. To even be eligible for a national ADDY, a piece must first win a gold in the local ADDYs, and then do the same in the regionals. That’s three rounds of rigorous judging by some pretty tough critics. And that’s a feat worth celebrating.
Cheers, Mr. Reiling.
