Extreme Makeover: ESAB Edition

If you were at the agency at all over the past few weeks, you probably noticed the CW’s ESAB team engaged in some major hustling. That’s because on top of all the business as usual, we were helping to pull off the near-impossible for ESAB.

Before

After initial renderings were approved, we hurried to do everything from choosing paint colors for the floors and walls to specifying materials and hardware for the design and production of one-off custom signage (see list below) all while coordinating the preparation, installation, and completion of the entire space.

ESAB Rendering

• Massive hanging sign featuring LED-lit ESAB identity and descriptive 3D lettering
• 24-foot-wide brand philosophy signage (Strength Through Cooperation)
• Eight custom-fabricated, rolling section signs with 3D logo/lettering signifying each demonstration area
• Large format metal posters corresponding to each demonstration area featuring a mix of action and end-use photography
• Large format “floating” artwork for new conference room featuring end-use photography

Artwork and signage

This 9,000 square foot space (yes, 9,000!) now includes a demo area, training room, meeting facilities, and offices for their welding automation employees.

Makeover complete

The pressure was on as we needed to complete the space for week-long meetings with Global Management. We finished up with just enough time and, from what we’ve heard, it blew everyone away.

ESAB has planned a series of open houses to introduce the new process center to ESAB customers in their key markets – pipe mills, bridge/structural steel, and wind tower manufacturing. These will include demonstrations and presentations by ESAB staff and key speakers in each field.

Huge kudos to the team!
