Hey, let’s get together and look for things.

Ahh, the good ol’ agency retreat. I mean who doesn’t love a day away from the office? Especially when it involves some coworker bonding, embarrassing tasks for the new kids, and a scavenger hunt all over the city.

The day started with breakfast and a State of the Agency presentation from our very own Jim Hettich (you know, all the secrets we could never share here).

Next, everyone was asked to share their thoughts on what makes a good agency – six gigantic pieces of paper later we had quite the discussion going.

Then our friends from clevermethod stopped by to talk digital and eat lunch with all of us. Jeffrey really liked the pulled pork.

Then it was time for the fun stuff.

Every year, the new kids (anyone who’s joined the agency since the last retreat) participate in some sort of performance. An initiation, if you will. This year, a talent show was the humiliation tactic of choice. Two mind readers,

a crazy skit with a wine opener,

and one bad Irish joke later,

Janet Whelan was crowned the winner for the best poem about Crowley Webb in the history of the world. Seriously, it was really funny.

Last but not least, the activity we had all been waiting for – the scavenger hunt. Eight teams scouring the city for pictures of everything from payphones

to Bob Travers.

Fun was had by all, but in the end, it was Team Awesome who took the prize.

As always with our retreats, it was a super day all the way around.
