I don’t know if I’m impressed or appalled.

So I was skimming through the latest issue of Ad Age, when I saw this ad for Kleenex. Excuse me, I mean Kleenex® Brand Tissue. According to a quick glance at Ad Age’s rate chart, that puppy cost them roughly $30,000 to run once. Part of me (a very, very small part) finds it admirable that they care that much about protecting their brand. The other part of me wants to slap someone. One would think that having the world use your brand’s name when referencing an entire category would be a good thing. But what do I know.
