Making sparks (and metadata.)

A few of us recently had the opportunity to experience first-hand what our newest client, ESAB Welding and Cutting Products, is all about.

For those of you who’ve never heard of ESAB, they’re the number one manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment and filler metals globally. Just think of it this way – they’re involved in producing tons of things we use each and every day.

ESAB’s also involved in such massive projects as the Trans-Bay Bridge in California, the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, the repair of the USS Cole, the Freedom Towers being erected at the site of the World Trade Center in New York, and the list goes on.

As of January 1, Crowley Webb became the agency of record for ESAB. This week marked the kickoff between their internal marketing group and the team assembled on our end. Steve Molenda, Darryl Colling, and Greg Neundorfer went down to their North American headquarters in Florence, South Carolina to learn all there is to know about their website, demo a bunch of their products, and discover what’s what for 2009.

And although we may have overdosed on our daily intake of hybrid laser welding, flux cored wires, and plasma cutting equipment, we’re pretty excited to have ESAB as part of Crowley Webb’s client roster. This foray into the manufacturing world may be brand new for us, but we’re confident that we’re going to want to stay.
