Oh, Google, you sly foxes.

Did you hear the big news? Google is changing the way advertisements appear in Google Images.

(Gasp!)

It’s true. The new format allows advertisers to include a thumbnail image along with text. Sure, Facebook already does the same thing with their ads – but this is Google, people.

There’s sure to be backlash over the new format – just check out the comments in a recent article in The Wall Street Journal. But here at Crowley Webb, we’re more concerned with whether it works. So we’ll be interested to see if adding a picture to a standard text ad will increase results for our clients. Plus, who knows what crazy thing Google will come up with next?
