Pinterest sparks creativity.
It is invitation only, unless you want to wait months for your formal invitation from the creator. Pinterest: it’s a virtual pinboard that lets you organize and share interesting things you find on the web. You can browse other people’s pinboards to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. It has everything AND the kitchen sink. And let me just say this has revolutionized creativity across the world. Everyday another friend tells me that they tried something new that they saw on Pinterest.
It’s not just “pinning,” “repinning,” and “liking.” This is all about trying new ideas you wouldn’t have thought of doing yourself, but the other society members make it look so easy that you feel empowered. This is made-from-scratch kind of stuff. From recipes to new décor ideas, I began trying some of these at home as well. I have a new built-in desk based on something I saw. I bought a new sewing machine and will try my hand at making a dress for my daughter.
If you aren’t in on this “secret society” you need to check it out. You won’t be disappointed. And you just might find yourself becoming more creative and trying out new things.
