This commercial hits a little too close to home.
While The Home Depot is unsuccessfully instructing me to turn up something called a “Doing dial” (sorry, HD, I have that baby set to the low setting), Lowe’s really hit the nail on the head with their latest TV spot. Take a look for yourself.
As a first-time homeowner, I too quickly learned that any project around the house, big or small, will most likely become an unmitigated disaster. I’ve taken 2 hours to replace one doorknob. I’ve made the mistake of planting annual grass seed, then was surprised to have giant bare spots in my yard the next spring (who the heck invented temporary grass anyway?). And plumbing – don’t even get me started about plumbing.
So kudos to Lowe’s. I definitely laughed pretty hard at that spot. But not too loud – otherwise I’m sure some copper pipe would have burst. Gosh, I loathe plumbing.
