This just in: Fast food is bad for you.

You might want to sit down for this one – your Taco Bell taco may not be authentic Mexican food after all. Actually, it’s debatable whether it’s considered “food” period.

From the useless information section of the news comes the report of a lawsuit against Taco Bell for not having enough beef in their beef to be considered beef. Got that? You can sort it all out by reading this article.

What I find most shocking about the whole ordeal is that to qualify to be called “meat,” the FDA requires food to consist of at least 40% actual meat.  Forty percent? Come on, we can’t even go halfsies on this one? What the heck is the other 60%? On second thought, I may not want the answer to that.

By the way, the lawsuit claims that Taco Bell’s taco meat is only 36% beef. Well, now I’m outraged. Give me that extra 4%, you beef hoarders! From now on, I’ll be way more responsible with my fast food selection. It’s only McDonald’s McRibs for me. I can only assume it’s made of 100% whatever animal it comes from.
