You and Who wins Twenty-Five Hour Workday contest!
We are pleased to announce the winner of Crowley Webb’s Twenty-Five Hour Workday contest: You and Who. In honor of our 25th anniversary – celebrated earlier this year – we partnered with Business First to create the contest. The prize is an ad campaign for one deserving local startup produced in one marathon, non-stop, 25-hour day.
Founded in September 2010, You and Who works with artists from around the country to design custom t-shirts. For each sold, the company donates matching items and meals to organizations that help those in need. You and Who won the contest with 47% of the total votes.
The runners up were Triad Recycle Energy Corporation on River Road in Tonawanda and Community Beer Works on Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo. All three of the finalists were fantastically good sports and we wish Triad and Community Beer Works continued success and happiness.
More than 40 businesses submitted proposals to enter the contest. The finalists encouraged their friends and networks to vote on the contest site; You and Who even enlisted LeAnn Rimes to help and developed their own Facebook app so fans could vote directly from their FB pages. The result? More than 15,000 votes were cast between November 14 and December 4.
The agency will begin working on You and Who’s campaign the morning of January 26, 2012 with the finished product being delivered 25 hours later. And then we’re all taking a nap.
