You have a nice smile. For a dog.
Plain and simple, my dog is the most important living thing in my house with four legs. So any advertising directed at dog owners automatically piques my interest. And the new Pedigree Dentastix campaign not only made me laugh, but it made me actually consider buying their product.
Here’s the thing. I can’t brush my dog’s teeth to save my life. So a product that offers assistance is automatically okay in my book. February was dental hygiene month for dogs, and I kept receiving emails from my vet about the benefits of having my dog’s teeth professionally cleaned. I caved and I did it. So not only was their campaign timely, but it was attention getting and comical.
It was really one of the banner ads that caught my eye. The chance to “denture your dog” was more than I could resist. I then forwarded Landy’s photo to my friends and I imagine some of them tried it out on their dogs too.
Think about it. How many times can you actually say “I clicked on the banner ad”? Even my father-in-law asked me if I had seen the commercial. So apparently the ads are also hitting home with non-dog owners. This seems like a pretty hefty campaign to just be promoting a single type of dog bone. But then again, it has me thinking about buying something I never would have considered before.
